Clutch plates?

Hi!

I just bought a new clutch for m 125 pit bike and my old clutch has 3 plates but my new clutch has got 2 plates but they are thicker.
So can I use that new clutch without any problems and is it going to be any differences?

i'm pretty sure 2 clutch plates will give you a smaller clamping surface than the 3 plate clutch.
possibly wearing out the friction plates sooner ?

but, as long as the total depth of the clutch is the same, it should still work though

what engine is it? a ***** 125 4 speed manual?

i thought most 125 bikes had a 4 plate clutch setup ?

engine 4 speed manual, 3 plates was in it when i removed it.
