HI

Im looking to get a CRF250R this year and was wondering if it would be ok for me, im 5,8 foot and weigh 50 kilos and have been riding a cr 85 for 2 years and it got too slow :D

my mate cameron owns a crf250r and he's a real short bloke, about the height of a 10 year old and even he can fit on it, of course we need to hold it up so he can kick it. I'm about you're height and found that the 250r is the perfect height for me, i could stand fully upright with out bending my arms which makes the bike very comfortable. It's extremely adgile and accelerates like there's no tomorrow. the suspenion is perfect for jumping but also comfortable over rough terrain. check out the link below to see what I'm talking about.

should be fine for you dude! I weigh the same as you and I'm the same hight as you and I can ride a crf250r fine!! :)
 
if your racing get some spp aluminium starter blocks. Lower the suspension too , Can just get a devol lowering linkage and push the forks through the clamps and wound off the rebound so it rebout so quick on you. Cut the seat foam down a bit too if your too short. Just make sure you can pick it up too and dont need help , you dont want to be crushed when you high side the thing.
 
you will be fine on that mate ive got one and im 5'7" or something only short and weigh about 62kgs just fine tune your suspension and you will be sweet just practice and dont go to hard till youve got the hang of a bigger bike and the power good luck man

no mate I wish it was me. it's actually Cameron the bloke i was talking about doing the jump but he's gotta be good because thats his own track and he's out there just about every day and has been racing for i can't remember how many years, I'll have to talk to him about joining the site because he's got alot of useful info on fast machines but hes not the sort of person to be sitting down in front of a computer!

The CRF 250 is a real kick-ass bike - the CRF 450 is just plain scary.
I'd love one myself - but can't justify the bucks. Be careful when you first ride it - that much power can get you into trouble real fast!

i was 5'2 when i hopped on one and was like 47kg or somthing anywayz, yeah, ur good 2 go

Ohhhh yes , the holy grail has been reached!!!!! Twice the sexual power. Thats a lot of power. Try handling that roost666 if you think the crf450r is slow!


You must admit despite them being quite annoying , spam bots can preety amusing. Gotta take it with a grain of salt I guess...
 
hahaha sorry i read it incorrectly i was talking about the 250 not 450
