I brought a 22mm carby and what to know how to measure it as the bikes not running right??

thanks

measure it across the smallest part of the manifold side of the carb...
it should be an oval shape so measure it from left to right not top to bottom...

hard to explain but hopefully you understand that..

If it is an oval shape, measure top - bottom then side - side and divide by 2 to give true size.

If it is ROUND then do as Sean has said.

The measurement is taken from the butt side of the carb (engine side of the carby slide)

Venturi height + width at the smallest point whether front OR rear of the slide ... divided by two ...

Take a good look at any genuine Honda then measure the carb venturi and look up what size Honda says it is ...

A 20 mm Keihin off an XR75/80 has 20 cast onthe carb top , Honda's specs say it's a 20 mm Keihin ... the venturi measures 22 mm height x 18 mm width ... they're 22 mm round out of the rear ... Some sellers of after market copies dupe people into believing they're getting a 22 mm carb ... :p

A 22 mm Keihin off an SL/XL100/125 has 22 cast on the carb top , Honda's specs say it's a 22 mm Keihin ... the venturi measures 24 mm height x 20 mm width ... they're 24 mm round out of the rear ... Some sellers of after market copies dupe people into believing they're getting a 24 mm carb ... when they can only flow 22 mm of air :p
