Thankfully to some good guy who wrote this tutorial, I was able to resolder the coils. So they are now separated from the earth and connected serially.
Now the stator gives AC 60V when warming up the engine and up to 80V when I turn the throttle. The 55W bulb was burned immediately after connecting.
The bigger reg/rec shown on previous message seems working.

Sound's like he has shown you how to convert your system to a floating ground type by removing the earth and making that a + feed wire for the reg'rect.
You now have a full wave lighting coil, (eg 2x yellow wire's)
Now you'll just need to make sure your reg/rect is the correct one for the job, and that it's up to the job, and can get rid of the extra energy that isn't being used
