Sorted the jetting out today 38 pilot 102 mains did the trick for a perfect tan plug chop and no bog off idle whatsoever with the air screw 1 and 1/8 tun out. Went for a little test ride and wow, she rips for a stock 160, with 14/41 gearing I was lifting the front in 4th over little bumps. Sounds so crisp with th x power exhaust to, its such a fun little bike I almost want to keep it myself lol

so went to start the engine transplant today and have run into a snag. the inlet manifold is to high for the little motovert frame, have major clearance issues with the fuel tank and top of carb. i have tried a 26mm oko the weird jing ke carb that came with it (around 28/30mm) and even the little 22mm mikuni of the braaap. all have issues, and the daytona manifold i have hear wont work with it either. so.... is there a shorter manifold the guys running these engines in the 50 frames use?
will see if i can find the pics of the gpx piston just for you to blender ;)

Did you ever find this magical manifold as I too have come across this problem in my transplant, Z160 with oKo 26mm into frame and hits the fuel tank.
Cheers.
