Need help!

Hey guys I'm sick to death of making trips to the local shop so could someone help please what size uni filter will fit a 05 crf50 stock carb I have tried 25mm and 28mm but when tighten the hose clamp it slowly starts to slide of the carby after a dew seconds

im pretty sure rach got a size smaller than she needed and then glued the filter on.give that a try if all else fails.i dont believe you can get exact match for stock crf50 carby's.

im not 100% sure on the size tho 25mm rings a bell.. but i think your main problem is
1. your over tightening the clamp
2. there must be oil on the rubber part of the filter..

another thing that can help is a thinner clamp

If you do it up to tight it will slide off for sure. Less is more in this case.
Once you work out how tight to do it you wont have a problem.
Remember to keep the rubber free from oil and petrol.

yeah all the uni filters i have had do that. just clean the inside rubbed with brake clean and evenly, slowly tighten it

hey guys thanks for the help i put a bit of plumbers tape around the carb and put the filter on seems to be working so far
