Bearings must last about 5 minutes too :p
may aswell go boost and get a lighter motor with the same snappy power (supercharged)

yeah you could do that, but that wouldn't suit the cars' class that he has build that engine specifically for .
that Naturally Aspirated engine is making 2.42 Horsepower per cubic inch !
it would have cost around $75,000 US, probably more, plus all the hours labour that went into each component.
and yeah it would need to be pulled down every second race to be checked at a minimum.
there isn't that many people in the world that could build it.

it is like you building your 155cc pitbike engine to make it have 22.9 hp
(you are limited 155cc, no Nos,Turbo,Superchargers etc)

a lot of engines are lucky if they are making 1 horsepower per cubic inch, in their tough NA V8 street driven cars.

my mates street registered, untubbed, HQ BB coupe is only making 2.09 hp per cubic inch, with his single carbed, 622ci / 1300hp engine

Yeah if its for a class then i certainly understand that :)
Hey i only build the n/a pitbikes because i dont think the bottom, or top end would take moderate boost
