So I have a pit bike with a tri-frame swing arm and the rear shock is hard as Hobbs. I was wondering is there any cheap ways I can fix it without buying a new rear shock. Although if I have to can u please link me one that is 255mm from eye to eye.

Thanks mate. That one looks good. Are u aware of any ways I could soften mine?

How did u find that one? I searched for dirt bike shock and pit bike shock and it didn't come up. Just wondering what u typed in cus I'm probably missing a lot of good products in my searches for another shock

Ebay worldwide search, 250 mm rear shock - 225 results, some are way off but there are some good ones if you look through them.

you really need to work out what the spring rating is, on your original shock,
the length, the type/style of top and bottom mounts, the width of those mounts, bolt sizes used etc.

if yours is like this,

you can loosen the top collars that adjust the preload, and that will soften it a little, but as you loosen it it will lower the rear too.

find a picture and right click on it.
then click on save picture as.....
it will save it to your pictures album on your computer, you can edit what name you use for the pic

next open a photobucket account, it's free.
start and name a new album.
the click on upload pictures
select the album on the left top,
then click on browse, in the middle of the box.
it will bring up another box in the left top of your screen,
select pictures and it will bring up all the pics you saved to your computer.
select the one you want, and click on it.
this will then upload to photobucket.

once the pics are uploaded, click on the one you want to post here,
it will bring up a bigger image of it,
on the right hand side of the page, you will see a box with IMG code next to it
click on it and it will highlight it in yellow, and say copied.
then come back here to the post reply box, right click in there and click on paste.
it will copy the required codes to here.
then post your reply, the image will now be showing in your post.
done.

cheers, craig

spin that collar at the base of the spring so its on the lowest notch, deepest notch, whichever one lets the spring get a lil bit longer therefore softer...multigrips ;) biguns! unless its already on low....
