think my rings are shoot

hi all if any one can help would be grate


i have a TT-Y 150 4 stroke and i think the rings are shoot just got the bike few weeks ago i cleaned the cabie the other day i took it for its first run yesterday it blows a lot of smoke and is burnning oil out the exsaust the oil was full and now its sitting just above low mark is it blowing the smoke because its not tunned right or amy i up for a re build

if it needs new rings am i goin to mbe able to do it my self
 
As Sean is saying ... It's really important to ensure that a carbs float level is set right otherwise excessive fuel can wash oil off the bore ... which in turn can wear things out really quickly ... Riding with the choke on all the time can have the same effect ...

If your oil smells heavily of fuel then that's a good indicator of badly worn or poorly sealing rings caused by running the engine too rich for an extended period ...
