yeah i did that on my old bike, i thought it was a flat tire at first. I was half way round a very long loop track and had to hold the bolt in with my heel the rest of the way back.
Adjust the rod that connects the lever to the master cylinder (make it shorter) then bleed the brakes. Thats what fixed mine. I was the one that started the thread bulldog93 is talking about. Apparently my locknut was loose causing the adjustment to change slowly overtime. When the rod is to...
ok i took it all apart, cleaned everything thoroughly, put it all back together and re bled with fresh dot 4 fluid and i've got the same problem, not as bad but its still there. I'm out of ideas. How much would it cost for a new master cylinder and caliper roughly?
i might flush the whole system out and start again, sounds like a good idea thanks. I'd really like to get the thing working properly as I love the rear brake for grass track and stuff.
when i release the brake pedal the back wheel is very hard to spin. I'm pretty sure I bled them correctly as i've done it before. How much fluid should there be? After it jammed i left it for about 5 minutes and then it was fine again so it must be releasing very slowly.
Today i took my back wheel off and one of the brake pads fell out. I put it back in but i'm not sure if i did it right. Anyway, now when i press my rear brake it just locks on and will not release, the piston just stays out. I've tried greasing the piston and re-bleeding the brake but it still...
