Found this pic in a post by nick AKA nickv1980 and thought it will help people who wonder about jetting and how it works and where different carb functions come into play.

Cheers Joshy, it just explains where the jets and needle come into play when your turning the throttle and helps with deciding on jetting and tuning.
 
I just noticed this in the other thread too, a good description of whats goin on. However, can anyone tell me WTF a "throttle valve" is?
 
the slide timeeh!
they usually have numbers on the underside of them 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 etc
the bigger the number, the more air they let through, and the more fuel it draws out
 
Niche supply are quick sending their parts out , and are also one of the better suppliers of carby parts.

i ordered a Power Jet conversion kit for my Yamaha IT200 Mikuni VM34 carby from them, and had it here in 6 days.
thats quicker than some Australian suppliers.....
