Sunday might be my first ride of the Braaap Daytona....

might be basic?
probably just a quick look over, no major oil leaks, and no open end bars etc

Not a big turnout here, 8 bikes so far.
I'm having fun getting used to the Braaap.
It's so touchy with the PWK28.
Track prep is pretty good, a bit loose in a couple of spots.
And it's twice the size of the Eudunda track.

Ouch! My first off!
Not sure what happened there, maybe a bit too much speed through the whoops.
Ribs are feeling pretty sore atm!
Im going to feel it tomorrow!!

Hope you're alright man! We weren't there much longer after you guys left

hey mate there should be a page in the rideday section for each state

Yeah, I did.
The video was too big for photobucket though.

Been feeling pretty sore since.
In fact I had to call the Ambulance this morning to get checked out.
I've been waiting in hospital since 9.30 this morning for some x-rays.
I might have broken a couple of ribs, but more likely to just be badly bruised.

**** mate no wonder you were having trouble breathing!! Hope your alright

Yeah, i'm all good no broken ribs or fractures, just some internal bruising on them.
The doctor did say a have a previously broken rib on my back though ? I have no idea when i did that one, lol ??

I've only had a quick look over the bike, and all i can see is the L/H grip is a bit torn.

How are you feeling today Brenton, after your off ?

ouch ... most importantly did you end up cutting a few laps on the Braaap ?? and what did you think of it.

Yeah im ok. Left ankle and right wrist are a little sore but nothings broken..
Oh hold on, nothing except my clutch lever that is.

Lucky I was there with mcgyver67xr.
Chinese socket and masking tape = new clutch lever!!!

Brenton i will send you some links to the ASV levers, what colour do you want ?

Tony, yeah i got 5 laps in before i hurt myself.
The bike ran faultlessly, jetting is spot on.
If anything the Polini PWK28 is a bit too touchy, i found it steers with the rear wheel pretty easily, lol.
Power wise i am rethinking about doing a ported head for it, it doesn't need it, the torque is full on, i only needed 3rd gear on the track, with a couple of corners i dropped it back to second.
The track was pretty big too, twice the length of the other track i have ridden on.

This is an aerial view taken 7 years ago, it has changed a fair bit since then

I have a few photos and a couple of short videos to post up soon too.

Im thinking red or black for the levers. Your bike totally steers with the rear wheel. Very fast bike!!!
