Forsure I'm thinking about extending the trip from 5 days to nearly two weeks.

Yeh just strip it down , seen it done a few times before. Chris Thomas did it.

should come under weight too because my snowboard shit was 60kgs and that gets through ok.

Or alternatively just turn up really late so they dont have time to weight in , done that before too.

Just pack smartly , like put heaps of shit into your hand lugage too

Forgot the company I work for a has very good rates with riteway transport, also getting a quote off bikes only.

It's done two weeks in newy over christmas and new year. In the process of hiring a ute now to.

If worse case scenario I'll do as you suggested unit.
