I really really miss old F1! i loved it so much more back then, nowadays it's just mclaren pole and 2nd every race.
 
yeah v10s were much more exciting then the v6 hybrids.
same with the lemans cars 787b only ran for 2 years before they banned it, easily one the best sounding race cars ever.
most lap times were faster 12 years ago then they are now too
 
Thought that may have been what you meant lol. To me f1 should be v12, then again they ruined all the good tracks years ago so we shouldnt be surprised they ruined the cars to. The excitement is definitely gone :(
 
rules are been changed in 2017 to make it more "exciting"
so refueling, 1000hp, better tyres etc. but still going to be the crappy v6 hybrids.
 
So mercedes will be limited to a 1000hp, while Ferrari make 960 odd, with renault still struggling to make it to the finish line, while giving away near a 100 hp lol. Hopefully not, but it wouldnt surprise me. Tbh they need to fix the tracks as much as the cars, and tyres as much as fuel imo. Give me a race with 10 pitstops, but the drivers actually thrashing the cars and racing each other, and I would be a lot happier, I coud even live with current engine outputs. Every time I catch f1 now they seem to be saving fuel or conserving tyres.

redbulls ditched Renault they are going to run Mercedes engines now in 2017. v8 supercars is the same too, save fuel save tyres. is so boring.

That will be interesting, didnt think redbull would like being essentially a second team, but they had to do something, renault have majorly dropped the ball. I dont have foxtel so I hsvnt seen much of the v8s this year, but the commodore cup has been boring for years. Rubbings racing died years ago :(

Cheers dude, hopefully getting the power connected next week! Then I get to go shopping for a drill press, grinder, vice n a few other bits n pieces. Probably will paint the floor too, got to see how much coin I've got left!;)
