:handshake:Just put together my new SSR-110semi pitbike and it seems great so far. Buttttttttt.....while doing a pre-delivery chain adjustment I noticed that while rotating the rear wheel the chain would go slack and then tight then slack again. I suspect a bad rear sprocket because it is in perfect time with the position of the sprocket.. is this a common problem or could I be missing something?

Thanks,

George

it may be the sprocket but more likely the chain. take the chain off and spin the wheel and watch the sprocket for any run out and check the front sprocket as well. if that is good replace the chain. that should sort it.

Hey man,

My mates bike has a similar problem and lo and behold the sprockets had different pitches making the chain skip often resulting in regular chain breakages. Not always the easiest to pick when the chain seems to run smoothly on slow rotation.
