Rec Reged 250 Pitpro- yay or nay?

Hey all, Been ages since I've been on here. Checking out this Rec Reged Pitpro now that I've got my license. Biggest shitter is that it's a Loncin engine. Other than that looks pretty damn good. Wondering if it's worth risking a low bid or catch it up before someone buys it? Don't know how...

    Ducar choke and carby question

Just picked up a newish second-hand Ducar (spare the story on how shit they are :P Actually, some advice would be good. Some.) And so no matter what I do to the mixture screw, it just won't run with the choke off. I churned it all the way to idling maybe at 3/4 the way to full revs, and it...

    Current Pitpro 125cc Prices

Wtf?! When I bought my pitpro they were going from around $450-600. Looking at the feedback, every 125cc is now going for at least 600, going up to 800. With the exception of one lucky dude who got one for about 475. Why has their value risen so much since I got mine early 2007?

    250 to go for

Aight I've been a member here a while, not just a newb asking the same ol questions. The China bike market moves so fast you have to get the latest opinions rather than use the search option (which I briefly did anyway ;) ) What's a good 250 to go for right now? The Atomik blitz looks okay. I...

    Broken bars :(

Yeah, so today my mate stacked the pitpro while learning to ride, bummer :( Everything managed to get out okay apart from the bars. So I'm wondering, can I just buy some new bars and attach my current clutch, kill switch, accelerator and brakes? Cheers, Jono

    Conversation

Yeah...so anyone else noticed that when you're not talking about bikes..you're talking about bikes? Look at the threads in this section. They're all bike-related! lol I think some people need a life outside motorbikes.

    Brakes

So I pulled out the Pitpro to do a bit of maintenance after not riding it for a few weeks, and the front brake was weak and laggy. When I pulled it it didnt engage properly and was really weak. So as I got the tools to bleed it and fill it up I noticed it was fine again. Is it safe for the...

    Backfiring

I know that when you run pitties on high octane they can tend to backfire, but does anyone find their pitty backfiring after prolonged use? I think my PP is starting to a little bit. Anyway, just an idea.

    China VS Jap

What is it that makes Hondas and Yamaha's so good compared to a China bike? Is it just a mix of every little part being better? I've always wondered... Cheers, Jono

    Couple of questions

Yo, so today I was changing my oil. Couple of q's... 1. Is a 20w-60 okay? (don't know if it's synthetic, didn't say. It's valvoline.) 2. This is a total noob question but why is there a second plug next to the sump? Am I meant to be changing trans. fluid or something? Cheers, Jono

    Pitpro starting

My 125cc RR doesnt start with the clutch in like my mate's 138 LE. With the clutch in it kicks right through but isnt connected to the engine. Anybody else's like this? It said on the ebay auction that it starts in-gear.

    Funny spill

So I found a great drifting spot on this huge patch of grass the other day. I spent ages just learning to drift across this particular slippery patch of grass. This is right next to an outdoor hockey court. I noticed that the court was open and you could walk right in. There was no-one around so...

    Too much weight?

The other day I was dinking with my bro on my pitpro 125. We rode for about 20 mins all up. About half an hour after stopping, i noticed the back tired was flat. Do you think it was punctured due to the weight? I'm 55kg and he's 80kg. Thanks. :(

Don't use a (wireless) cycle computer!

I bought a wireless cycling speedo for my pitpro for $20 inc delivery the other day. Took ages for me to figure out that it wasn't working cos the magneto was interfering with the reciever. It worked fine with the engine off, but engine on and it went up to 99.9km/h! So don't get one :(

    Dead spot

My Pitpro 125 seems to have a deadspot on full throttle. It occurs more when cold, but I'm pretty sure does it most of the time. Does anyone know what causes it and how to fix it?

    Oil

I'm surprised a topic hasn't been made about this yet, or at least the search function didn't pick it up (don't worry computers never fail). What oil is best for a 125? I just whacked in my uncle's car engine oil (out of the bottle, out of the bottle!), probably not the best of ideas. Is it...

    Full stops >> . <<

For anyone on this forum who doesn't know where to correctly place a comma or full stop, learn :D Seriously I'm sick of sentences like this where you don't know where one sentence ends and the other starts and theres no comma so you don't really know where there's a break in the sentence and...

    Pitpro 125 VS 138: results

So Petey and I had our first ride with my new 125 and his 138 today. It was quite obvious that the 138 had more grunt. It had a fair bit more pulling power (I know because my ass was slidin all over the joint in 2nd), and each gear had a little bit more speed. Mine however had was a lot louder...
