Some Tight Racing! Sweet Race haha...Good to see the 250 came on top of the 450 :) Though Reed was riding it.

Id love to see more 2 Stroke Racing but all I guess times are changing hey?

More and more people will change to twosmoke in the future because of the maintanance costs:cool:

Just like more and more peoples will be driving de cheaper 4 cylinder cars like de Hyundai's and de cheaper 4wd's instead of de Hummers and BMW's because they can't afford de maintenance and de petrols fuels.

And just like how de peoples buy de disposable razors instead of de electrics shavers...... and de babies nappies and de condoms. Altho' you can reuse de condom....... my relatives do it's all de time.

Theys simply wash de f*ck out of thems then turn thems inside out.

rebuilding a 2 stroke after its spat the big end out and scored the barrell,is more expensive than 4 stroke maintance, not to mention needing a ten ton press to re pin the big end and balance the crank obvisily something you have never done,
i have rebuilt enough 2 strokes to put me off them, now have a honda 4 stroke maintaince is a dream

they both should race its getting boring watching all 4 strokes and no 2 strokes who care if they smoke

2 strokes are cheaper to buy then 4 strokes and from what i've heard cheaper to run then 4 strokes

i getting a 2 stroke because there lighter and cheaper then a 4 stroke and i alreadly have a 4 stroke

there is a reason they are cheaper(cos their shit) , most are "freshly rebuilt" too, cos the owner found out the cost of this when it shit itself, then after rebuild sold quickley before it shit itself again,
i m not saying dont buy one each to there own ,but be aware of the rebuit costs involved ,BEFORE YOU END UP WITH A TWO STROKE THATS ONLY WORTH THE COST OF A REBUILD+$100 and get a few quotes

heres a question, what lasts longer:

a high maintenance wr250f/crf250x's valve-train,

or

a cr250's piston/bore/rings?

It has ALWAYS been stated in the CR two stroke service manuals to replace rings every 3 motos , piston every 5 motos , check crank every 22.5 hours and rebuild as necessary ...

my god this topic never gets old lol, i never meant debate about the two, just think the still should be racing on a pro level still.....2 strokes are still goin strong at the races i attend

Ha ha ha ... Well you shouldn't have called the thread ... "two stroke vs 4 stroke" ... What did you expect ? ...

And the Pro's can ride a two stroke if they like ... there's nothing stopping them ... If their sponsor makes a two stroke and they choose to ride a 4 stroke ... then that says it all ...

^^^hahhaha.

but theres nothing cheap about rebuilding a 4 stroke either and at the end of the day id much rather rebuild a 2 stroke than a 4 stroke (price wise)

and if your using a 10 ton press to fit big end bearing your doin it wrong...lol... heat is your friend
and i dont think you need to balance it after wards either..wouldnt hurt but dont think its needed..

Can't really see how they are boring to watch...Maybe you should go watch some scooby doo and let the big boys talk..

I can say more but I'm tired and don't want to be mean.
