Hey guys,

I am looking at buying a yx160 for my bro's build, and also looking at the possibilities of rebuilding it in the future with the spares I have.

So in effect my question is:

Will a GPX 155z/160ho Head, Cylinder & Piston, fit on a yx160 bottom end?

If not, what would I have to get modded to work?

Cheers,
Carlton

yeah they will fit mate there all the same size and heights.. (i just installed a tb v2 head on my bike) just remember the covers and whatnot are different..

Like zac said mate its okay, ive put a yx150 barrel and piston in the GPX155 before, although i did notice that putting the yx150/160 60mm piston in after pulling the head back off there had been very slight contact between the piston and head, i mean very slightly but knowing what to look for you can notice it, i think it is just the coating on the top of the piston as the 155 piston is polished and the yx has a darkish coating on it, the cams are the same and take the same cam sprocket.

Sweet as. Cheers guys

I was thinking of doing the following:

using a yx160 and simply replacing the head with that of a gpx155z

I would be keeping the yx160 barrel and piston,

Reckon it would be all good then ey :)
