hard to kick start

hey just wondering if anyone can tell me weather it would be wise to buy a 2011 atomik nitrous 160 thats hard to kick start, what does this tell you about the bike? is t easy to fix? thanks

Could be a fair few things but that sounds like valve clearances to me which is an easy fix if your half mechanically minded.

What do you mean by hard to kickstart?
Is the kick lever hard to kick ?
Are you kicking the motor over to just past tdc before you try to start it ?

Is it taking a lot of kicks to fire up ?

sorry guys it was a bit of confusion with the seller, he said you can hurt your leg trying to start it, by this i thought he meant taking so many kicks when in fact it only takes 1-2 kicks and what he really meant is that if you slip off the starter you can rake your leg on the peg

I did that recently, got 5 stitches on my foot.
1 month after doing that, burnt my hand on the exhaust.

Think this bike is trying to tell me something!

I remember starting my yx160 back in the day in thongs. Thing kicked back that hard it shot my thong 5 meters up the road. hahaha
