Mine revs fairly well, to make it rev more put a different CDI on it to increase or take away the rev limiter. Then need stronger valve springs. Stock YX springs are too soft and can valve bounce easy, not that I ever valve bounce mine.

How old are you mate? been riding long?
i dont think its the cdi holding it back, i have my stock cdi on and just chucked a tbv2 head on and now it revs much higher
so the valve springs is all you would have to do imo

sweet as ill make sure i get the strongest pricks i can find...or should i go buy the takegawa super head i was looking at the other day 500 bucks but they reckon one of the best heads out there?

Taky head is the go, but you won't be able to run it with the piston I have in that engine, the piston is just too large, may have to go back to a TB piston. Or, trial fit and check clearances very carefully.

Please show us where the hell you found a taky head for 500 bucks.

I know another guy with a low hour YX150 out of his braaap who just bought one of the vegas engines of them, he may want to sell that. Taky head would go straight on it and could be a cheaper option than using mine cause my piston might hit the valves on the taky.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YX-GPX-1..._Parts_Accessories&hash=item230cc96bf7&_uhb=1 thought this looked interesting to being 4 valve but will it fit your bottom end
4valves are no real advantage in these small engines as its been proven time and time again (unless you wish to $$ and work it alot) it will fit in and klx style bottom end (large cam cover) if you want a wild motor go and get the cases bored then fit a 67mm piston and the tb head..
http://www.minimobracing.com/store/....html?osCsid=f25831ffe99b010dcc362e25453061f2 if you have the money..
but a 440 dollar head and later on see if you need more rpm then a extra 70 for the take retainers will work just as well (there the same head technically speaking other than the valve stems being a little larger in the tb head) they will have similar flow to a takey head i reckon..
This is what you get for $440 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAdTzJ7hPgo (incl piston) from dhz free postage (maybe i dunno about tas) if you want a better flow i would only really smooth out the exhaust so less carbon builds up and thats about it that will give you much more power then later on sort out if you would like to go bigbore/ give you a fresh piston of riding while you see if you actually need more power

fair enough i thought they may have been worth it as the 150 n 190 animas r 4 valve.... providing this deal goes through with phil il ride his until it need a re build n see wats out there then...

That taki combo is in US dollars, plus postage and duties etc. Too much I reckon. Plus you would need a new exhaust header pipe, different bend.

You will be wrapt with mine, maybe put a 26mm OKO carb on it and it will waken it up some more. Port the head helps as well. I can get the spare head ported if ya want before sending it over.

Might, just might even pull it out this weekend!

yeah i no its a touch dear will just see wat she runs like before i start searchin for more power lol...... my 24mm oko would b way 2 small wouldnt it? wat carb do u run on it?

btw anyone no anyone selling a set of 45mm n 48mm triples? just bought some adjustable forks n they dnt fit my triples should of measured em i no but i was a touch hasty....

yeah they are the lxr pitster pro forks got em for 238 from china dunno if thats a good price or not but i didnt have the 1000 bucks for the shivers lol

not sure, i have not done this yet.. wait till someone with more experience on the matter chimes in i reckon

hmmm biggest problem is i cant find any that match the 45 48 measurement... havent checked the front brake yet it didnt come with one but have heaps of old calipers lying around so hopefully i can work something out

If you dont want to make an adaptor (easy with a drill, taps and some bolts with some spare steel) or maybe no taps and nuts to fasten it..
anyway here is a dual pot caliper that will fit http://www.dhz.com.au/buy/pitsterpro-hd-race-front-brake-kit-fits-x4r-lxr/BRK-02 (much stronger not that you will need all of the power unless your mo-tarding it)

not sure if you will need a larger disk either.. if your going to make a bracket you may aswell go a larger disk (pitster pro one linked because its sexy) http://www.dhz.com.au/buy/pitsterpro-hd-disc-rotor-220mm/PITSTER-09.220
