we used the factory oil for around 30mins of run in time....on the gas off the gas technique then i recomend using shell rimula x diesel engine oil

its been said many times on thr forums about shell rimula x diesel oil i gave it a go and HIGHLY recommend it...ill use it forever now! yx140's are awesome motors!

i have the same frame and jump my bike pretty hard.... never had a problem the trellis frames are regarded as very good

check ur fuel tap isnt set to off....

yeh anything in 150cc has been getting a good review lately

ive owned 2 lifan 140cc 1p55fmj and id literally throw them in the bin compared to my YX140 1p56fmj dam its fast

most likely its ur clutch not adjusted correctly

alot of people have blamed similar things on bent gear selector forks theres a few other similar problems mine jumps out in 4th also...but when i back off it clicks back in and im off again

does it click back in if u let off the throttle?

ahhh crap! serious....maybe its not a clutch issue...maybe its slipping out of gear

mine sort of randomly just decides to let go...

havnt tried but it was definitely what i was thinking of doing though! must just be too much power for the standard clutch

in stock form the 140cc yx motor 1p56fmj ABSOLUTELY FLOGS the lifan 1p55fmj without even breaking a sweat BUT if you did equal mods to both engines i reckn it would be hard to see power difference

ur swing arm bolt will snap first use washers to space the swing arm properly FRONT AND REAR...believe me...it will happen i bought three of the exact same bikes but 140cc motor sorta looks like yx to me

they all make a hissing noise they all get hot...

ive emailed this guy a few times never heard back so went elsewhere... seems no one else has this problem???

if its a common problem maybe its best to advise all owners of new yx140 tighten their head before run in or something

i undid the screw almost untill the head was sticking out of the hole...kicked 3 times without even hesitating ill ride it tomorrow and give it a go hot and cold
