Its all to do with inersher/ gyroscopic force of the rear wheel.. If you accelerate whilst in the air it will bring the front up.. Thats it in plain english without getting into physics and the like

best bet is to call customs and be honest I have called them for similar reasons and they are more than helpful

I would recommend ordering them through your local motorbike shop. Preferably a yamaha dealer as they will be able to tell you what can fit. If you dont have access to a shop close have a look in the yellow pages for a shop and give them a call they will be more than happy to send them out to you.

If you take it apart (most just have bolts through them) You can space the guid e out with washers to make it wider then your chain will fit through.. Much better option
