hey thump, you know you can just change the bar risers on the clamp, my mate just did the same with a set like yrs.
id recon ken would have some kickin round....

Meh, i like the fat bars, they have a good bend, are high enough to fit me underneath em, and yeah, cant see a reason to change em for appearances sake.. and also to be a bit different... wouldnt be one of my builds if it had sheep parts on it. :D

im gonna out bid you on the thumpy graphics coz im a **** =)

hahahahhahahhah nice yellow nail polish fag

xoxooxoxox

that's enough out of you Michael Jackson Fan...
bid on those graphics, i'll dock you a day's pay...

Take THAT, emofag... :)

Ok, so the PE24 BlingBreather showed up yesterday... Looks awesome, the box had "Genuine Honda Replacement Part" stickers on it with a tamper seal, which has me thinking "Genuine Honda" parts you buy, are actually rip-off Thai parts... ha ha. They advertised the carby as a replica, not a genuine part, yet it has the stickers, Keihin and HOnda part No's stamped on it etc... hmm... but anyways...
The anodising on the carby cap, throttle, velocity stack etc seems to be of far better quality than the usual ChinaBling fare, and the quality was certainly better than most of the parts in my shed... he he.. Carby itself is VERY solid, and very heavy... guessing the steel is a bit denser than the usual stuff in OKOs etc.. ha ha..
Love the idea of the manifold, but the rubber adaptor for attaching the carb is a bit on the Flexy side, which creates air leaks... going to have to make up some sort of steel retainer ring, so that the adaptor bolts pull the adaptor flat, instead of doing the opposite... The grub screws that hold the pivoting neck seem pretty solid, and overall fit and finish is impressive, but time will tell... either way it's a great idea, and seems to be a better concept than the rubber 360degree manifolds...
The Posh 1/4 turn throttle is also a nicely made unit, but wasnt intended to fit the bars i have... stupid minute differences between 7/8 and 22mm bars... so i had no choice but to use the gay stock thumpy item... hopefully the Akunar item shows up soon... So anyone wanna buy a cheap Posh billet 1/4 turn throttle?? ha ha
So the carby is all bolted up, but you think the thing would run? Nup. Think the jets are marked with their sizes? Nup. Think i've had any experience with Keihin Roundslides of small diameter on small bore pitbike engines? Nup.. gonna be expensive rejetting this thing, but hopefully it will also mean that soon enough i'll have another jetting baseline for other members that decide to run a Keihin roundslide..

All up, i've gotta say i'm bloody impressed with this kit... Cost me $130 AUD posted, and the quality is far better than most of the china stuff i've bought so far... I can certainly recommend the quality of the parts, and what you get for the money... The kit came with the Posh throttle, Keihin PE24 Roundslide, 2'' Velocity stack, extra anodised carby slide cap, matching coloured and anodised throttle cable, anodised fuel filter, extra manifold adaptor, the polished 360 manifold (22mm I/D), gaskets, and spare grub screws for the manifold and velocity stack... Not bad for $130 posted i thought...

Now i just gotta jet the bastard properly...

Pics will be up tonight.. :)

my swinger arrived this morning but its slightly different to yours Tom,and its been painted so im not real impressed with it

Really? hmm.. i'd be sending it back i reckon... if it aint the shiny alloy chunky one they advertised on egay, i reckon i'd be asking for my money back... :(
is it the same thing, just painted, or is it different altogether? i'm still a bit surprised at the solidness of mine for $75...

Yeah im going to email her as its definately aint new you can see that by the bolt holes. They have bolt marks around them and it looks like its been painted because its scratched up.

Yeah Troy i'd be straight onto her, claiming the item was not as described. I've found them pretty good to deal wiht in the past, so hopefully they'll sort you out pretty quick... if not, i'd lodge an egay complaint that the item was not as described...

Atomik boy, hopefully it's nothing a bit of jetting wont fix... just going to be tricky to find a baseline to start from...

yeah i sent her an email that was pretty direct and to the point and asked her to contact me asap via email or phone, see what they come back with

Carbies.... bastard things they are... Still not having any luck with this Keihin... now running a jetting baselines closer to what it should be, but still no joy... I'm starting to think it has something to do with the three air ports hanging off the side of the carby... blocking them, joining them, linking them all has an effect, but none of them are the desired effect... the bike starts, and either hunts up and down, or picks up revs until it's redlining.... without actually changing or touching anything, and with the throttle closed...

Anyone got any experience with PE Keihin carbies?? this is starting to **** me...

anyways, here's the pics, sorry about the quality, had a couple of fluoros drop out in the shed last night... and yes, i know that's the old manifold, not the shiny polished one... ha ha..

This is what the kit came with... Throttle, manifold, adaptor, spare adaptor, red slide cap, cable, velocity stack, fuel filter, and lots of shiny... not bad for $103...

That velosity stack looks terrible Tom,you should take it off immediately and post it to me so i can humanely euthanase it and put it out of its misery.

swap "humanely euthanase it" with "have intimate relations with it", and "misery" with "sheer bouts of ecstasy", and i'd believe you Troy...

ha ha ha ;)

ok thump 140.

issues with my thumpy.

is runs absolutely perfect, then you pop it into 1st gear and even with the clutch in it backfire spits coughs splutters..
and ideas?

now that is a weird one... i have a feeling it may have something to do with the neutral wire... am pretty sure the electric start FYM110 motors have them... if it's only when you put it in gear, and it runs perfectly in neutral, i'd say that neutral wire might be touching somethign it's not meant to...

Ditch the Fakuni do the valve clearance BAMM problem solvered .

I dont even touch my mates 140s with those frigging carbs , there to cheap to buy new ones so **** them there bikes can sit in my shed and collect dust.

All assuming your running the fakuni

yeh i am..
but i have never had a problem with them.. set and forget.

sure they dont supply as much power as i could.. but they seem to work.. it just doesnt seem a good reason for the problem.
