okay.. so no luck ive noticed this however.. and it wont slide in anymore.. the idle screw is not in the way of it sliding down. after trying to kick the bike over when i went to go kick start it it popped a little a sprog back the kick start up. i sparyed the cdi box and the cdi box pins with wd40 like you said.. took the air/mixture screw and turned it all the way in then like 1.75 turns out. switched the fuel set up like you said and still nothing :/

! problem I see from your pic's is your fuel line. Shorten it up so it runs straight from the tank to the carbie.
The big loop you have in it could cause you a few drama's

i will go shorten it but do you think that will actually fix the problem? im not seeing it being a huge deal

the slider in the carb for the throttle is fine? cause it wont go down any farther

I can see the fuel line been a huge problem at some stage.
Looks like your cable may need adjusting a little or your idle turned down to drop that slide a touch.
Try running the bike with a air filter and see if it makes any difference

my idle was all the way out and it still wouldn't go down anymore.. and ive been trying to start it with the air filter, i just took it off for that one picture to show you the slider. i have shortened the fuel line and still the same issue

did you make up and fit some gaskets for the manifold side of the carby?

i agree with damo too, re shortening the fuel line.

if you cant turn the idle speed screw out anymore to lower the slide, then the cable needs adjusting at the top end.
can you put a picture up of the throttle set up on the handlebar, with the rubber boot slid back off the adjusters, and cable.

i didnt start another thread man? but i did fit some gaskets, i did shorten the line as well.. here are some pictures of the throttle set up.. with having the slide all the way down would cause it to not start? Hopefully we can figure this out!

the fuel filter is fine and im getting fuel into the engine cause i can see it in the line.. but like i said when i try to start it it will pop and the kick start will just fly right up.. the cdi is plugged in and i sprayed it with wd40 like you said craig.. and the cdi box is plugged in a long with the coil.. i dont understand this! so frustrating

undo and loosen that locknut holding the cable to the throttle handle.
then turn the threaded inner into the throttle more.
then check the slides' height again.

to check if fuel is going into the carby,
loosen the screw on the bottom of the bowl, the one next to the thin fuel hose.
fuel will run out the hose onto the ground if the fuel bowl has any in it..

okay i did that and it moved down but not all the way down.. is it suppose to be all the way down?

i would do that but i cant because the screws that they put in these carbs strip so easy and there junk.. i have idea what else i can do to get this thing started.... lol ugh!

it still didnt start but that did help.. im hearing a lot of air but i think its just the air filter sucking in air. its still not starting however its cranking a lot better.. i feel as if somehow i get the slider to move down fully all the way it will run.. because adjusting the cable and allowing it to move down a little helped things..

have you confirmed there is fuel in the fuel bowl by loosening that bottom screw?

the slide height looks a lot better now,
turn the idle speed screw in slowly, until you see the slide lift a touch then stop.

push the choke lever on, make sure it lifts the pin that goes down through the top.
now try and start it,
make sure you dont give it any throttle, easiest way is to pull the brake on while you kick it over.

I dont like the look of the fuel line setup.
Anyone else used one of these filter's that can confirm in is on the correct way. Looks back to front to me.

Have you checked valve clearances?
Double and triple check manifold leaks

to avoid stripping any of the screws,
use the biggest screwdriver in the slot/head of the screw that will fit
and just don't overtighten them, they wont strip unless you over do it.

i had one of those filter damo, they aren't made too well.
mine leaked, as the rubber seal in them isnt thick enough to do the job.
mine is sitting in my carby spares box now.

SSR125,
will the black fuel line reach from the tap, down and onto the barb on the carby.
without using the inline filter?
if it will, just humor us and try it out.

i dont know how to do valve clearances.. and craig i did exactly what you said and turned it in just a tad until i saw it move just a little bit.. then i put the air filter back on and turned the choke on and nothing.. i feel like im hearing a lot of air for some reason.. i will never understand this bike man.. i also feel as if the slider needs to be all the way down..
